Hickman-Brown Family Wellness Initiative

 

Dear Family:

While family members visit Detroit in 2014, I want to launch a new health initiative for the family called, the "Hickman-Brown Family Wellness." See the logo I created below:

 

 

Given our family's history of diabetes, heart disease, strokes, and high blood pressure, it is important going forward that we focus on improved health for all current and future generations. During your Detroit stay, I will schedule early morning walks and have information about the above mentioned health concerns. As well as, there will be health discussions during one of our programs. As I stated during my family history presentation in St. Louis, Molly Brown, who died in 1914, had diabetes. Therefore, given that she was born around 1860, this disease has been in our family for over 100 years! I might invite one of my fraternity brothers who is an medical doctor to come speak to the family. I want all of our family members to live a long and healthy life!

What an outstanding Hickman-Brown Family Reunion last weekend. The St. Louis Host Committee did an wonderful job of putting on a quality family reunion. Every event hosted by the Committee was well attended and everyone had a great time.
